Cheesy Meaty Comfort Spaghetti
Ingredients
• 1 box spaghetti noodles (16 oz)
• 2 packets McCormick Spaghetti Sauce Mix
• 2 jars (24 oz each) Ragu Traditional Tomato Sauce
• 3–4 lbs ground beef (you mentioned “3 2lbs” — assuming about 6 lbs total, but that’s a lot; I’ll base this on 3 lbs for balance)
• 1 turkey smoked sausage, sliced
• 6 round breakfast sausages (any variety)
• 1 green bell pepper, diced
• 1 red bell pepper, diced
• 1 yellow onion, diced
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 tablespoon paprika
• 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
• 2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix — your choice)
• Salt (to taste)
• Olive oil or butter (for cooking)
⸻
Instructions
1. Cook the pasta
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
2. Add the spaghetti noodles and cook according to package directions until al dente.
3. Drain and set aside. Toss lightly with a bit of olive oil to prevent sticking.
⸻
2. Cook the meats
1. In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
2. In a separate pan, cook the breakfast sausages until browned and cooked through. Slice into bite-sized pieces.
3. Slice the turkey smoked sausage into thin rounds and brown them lightly in the same skillet.
4. Combine all the meats in one large pot or bowl.
⸻
3. Cook the vegetables
1. In a large pan with a bit of olive oil, sauté the onion and bell peppers until soft and fragrant (about 5 minutes).
2. Add the cooked vegetables to the meat mixture.
⸻
4. Make the sauce
1. In the same large pot, pour in the Ragu tomato sauce and McCormick Spaghetti Sauce Mix. Stir well.
2. Add garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
3. Simmer for 10–15 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
⸻
5. Combine everything
1. Add the cooked spaghetti noodles into the sauce and meat mixture. Toss gently until everything is well coated and evenly mixed.
2. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed (salt, pepper, etc.).
⸻
6. Bake it (optional but delicious)
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Transfer the spaghetti mixture into a large baking dish (or two medium ones).
3. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.
4. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
⸻
7. Serve
Let cool for about 5 minutes, then serve hot!
This dish pairs great with garlic bread and a simple green salad.
⸻
Servings
Makes about 10–12 hearty servings — perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or meal prep.
