Growing up, my sisters and I loved drinking Snapple—especially when we visited our grandparents’ house. My twin’s go-to flavor was the light pink Kiwi Strawberry juice, while my younger sister always reached for the Mango Madness juice. Meanwhile, I preferred sipping on an ice-cold Snapple Peach Tea.

Aside from being a delicious beverage, the drinks were stored in a glass bottle and sealed with a metal cap. When you twisted off the lid, there was a satisfying “pop”. Each cap was also printed with a fun fact, which my sisters and I loved comparing after we finished our drinks.

While I haven’t had a Snapple in a while, and my younger sister even admitted to forgetting about her beloved mango-flavored drink, it’s no secret that the brand remains a popular choice today. So much so that in 2020, Snapple totally shocked fans when it announced a significant change to its packaging.

Instead of storing the drinks in glass bottles, it switched to using 100 percent recycled plastic bottles that require fewer materials, which the brand insists creates “a more sustainable future.” While the move was a win in terms of environmental awareness, some fans were disappointed by the change.

Luckily for OG fans, Snapple is bringing back the glass bottles we all know and love.

Snapple Brings Back Limited-Edition Glass Bottles

It’s true. After years of requests from Snapple drinkers, the brand has given us what we want. The beloved glass bottles made their return on Oct. 15, along with the signature metal lids.

The limited-edition drop features the most popular Snapple flavors, including Snapple Apple, Kiwi Strawberry, Peach Tea, Zero Sugar Peach Tea, and Lemon Tea.

When Snapple made the surprise announcement on Instagram, fans quickly took to the comments section to share their excitement. “I’ve been collecting Snapple caps since I was 9!!! I need the OG caps for my Snapple board,” commented a nostalgic fan.

“Oh my gosh!!!! I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment,” added another person.

One fan implored the brand to make the packaging change a permanent decision: “Please make them permanent! I miss them so much, and the peach tastes so much better in glass.”

For just $3.99, you can sip on a tasty drink while reveling in all the nostalgia—except for one not-so-minor detail. The glass bottles will only be available in New York at select retailers and bodegas.

“This is whack… guess I gotta go to NY,” expressed a disappointed fan about the limited release. “This needs to be nationwide,” another person commented.

The glass bottles will only be available while supplies last, and fans are already racing to get their hands on them. For those who are lucky enough to be in New York, don’t wait too long for this throwback Snapple release. Something tells us it won’t stay on shelves for very long.
