It’s a good price for chicken of the sea, but your mileage may very at that price bracket. Some tins are great, some tins are a let down.
Still, its calories and protein at a great price.
Welcome!

These are awesome! One of my personal favorites

They are fine, but after trying higher quality cans I’m spoiled. A part of me wishes I’d never had the gkof stuff so I’d still be thrilled with thise run of the mill babies.

If you like those, you’ll love most tins of sardines, I reckon.

I like the Mediterranean style ones. Damn good bargain.
Restlessly-Dog
That’s super cheap. If it was me I’d fry up some bacon or sausage, maybe some onions or okra, toss in the can, and have them with biscuits or cornbread.
But try them straight from the can first to see if you like them that way. Lots of people do.

They have good flavor for the price they just look all beat up in the can.

They’re not great, but they are cheap, and I am hungry. No problem with these.

They’re nice. Think of sardine brands like liquor— would I eat them straight? No. But I like them with some accoutrements.

Topped a bowl of cheese and broccoli soup with that exact tin. I’d definitely do it again.

even the can aesthetics leaves something to be desired

This brand is my favorite. I’ve tried the more expensive ones, but I just love this brand the most lol. They’re already cheap, but you got an even better deal than usual! I love them in mustard sauce. I happily eat them plain, but to make it more of a meal I usually add them over some rice (with red beans and edamame beans and barley for extra protein and fiber), wasabi, furikake, and some sort of Japanese sauce (whatever I have on hand), and a little bit of kewpie mayo. I’ve also added sardines to a bowl of scrambled eggs! I feel like there’s probably a million things I could add them to lol.

That is a good deal

I pretty much only get these because they are the only thing available around me.

I’ve had these, and I just can’t do it after being hooked on wild planet and nuri. The superior taste justifies the cost imo. But i am an admitted snob for things.

These are my all time favorite. I like a lot of other tinns but these right here…chefs kiss.
Unlucky-Leader
I think the hot sauce ones are the best of that brand imo.

this one is my favorite with noodles, adds a bit of spice

Deal, though, there are much better for a dollar or two more.

i just got back into sardines and i just tried these the other day! i just did forkfuls on saltine crackers to get an idea of their flavor. i think they’re alright, but i don’t know if i’d do them again, versus just adding hot sauce to other tinned sards.

Sweet deal. I get the good enough 80 cents Kroger brand and split the fish oil with the hounds but save the deens for myself. 80 cents is 80 cents and 70 cents is better especially if the taste is good enough.

I just bought 20 of those at .98!
