Good God I hate whipped icing. And I really need to invest in a turn table.
Now that that's out of the way, I'm quite proud of this. I used to decorate cakes in the local grocery store bakery and loved it. I occasionally do cakes at home, but without the demand to keep a lot of supplies on hand, I usually stick to baked goods that don't require icing.
I had one of my cheesecake customers reach out and commission a baby shower cake. They loved it, and I love it. I made a marble pound cake with pink whipped in the middle. The honeycombs are made of chocolate and the "honey" is royal icing. The bees are premade that I bought. Pooh is an edible image I ordered (specific customer request).
Tell me what you think, and then tell me your tips and tricks for stacking tiers. I had a helluva time trying to use dowels before deciding to just stack it with one remaining dowel. Also tips and tricks for whipped icing are welcome!
