Recently I visited this Sunnyside, Queens bakery to pick up some or other pumpkin-shaped pastry that I saw on social media. This maple donut changed my mind — I really like maple, and this was really good.

Now I've got an eye out for more. Not for maple syrup or for maple sugar candy (which I already indulge in), but for at least slightly more subtle uses of maple by bakers and chefs.
