A downtown Calgary restaurant and bar, known for its Mediterranean-inspired menu, is on the move.
Barcelona Tavern shared that it would be moving from its home at on the corner of 8th Avenue and 4th Street SW, after a decade. Its final service at the location was Friday, Oct. 17.
“Thank you for supporting us the last 10 years, and we look forward to keeping the good times going at the next spot,” it said in an Instagram post.
Luckily, it isn’t venturing too far, moving down the street to 318 8th Ave. SW, taking over the space that was previously occupied by its sister restaurant, The Office, which closed its doors in September.
Barcelona Tavern will be back in business in no time, bringing with it its large menu of Mediterranean-inspired tapas, pizza, paella and sandwiches. The spot also has a large selection of local craft beer, imported beer, wine, and house cocktails.
The new outpost set to open its doors on Oct. 23.
