My mom shipped me some New haven pizza for my birthday as the options near Boulder CO don’t match up – thank you mom 🙂

Did she use gold belly? How was it?

Looks great, I gotta try that sometime. It’s wild IMO that you can get pizza/dough shipped to CO from CT.
I’m assuming it was either raw dough or frozen??

OP, Rosalee’s has the good pizza in Longmont. Best pizza I’ve had in Colorado.

Fun fact: “apizza” comes from the Neapolitan dialect, and translates into “a pizza”.

Learned about Sally’s frozen on a YT video yesterday and have been thinking about it all day. I think I’m gonna pull the trigger. We have a few good pizzas in Colorado, but we have very few good east coast anything.

Grew up in CT and worked in New Haven for years. Best pizza anywhere in the world. But now living elsewhere, just know that even the best frozen pizza still tastes like frozen pizza. I’ve tried them all for ridiculous $, and it’s just not great. Not remotely close to the real thing.

Lived in CO and now in NHV area and can confirm that’s some trash pizza so I barely ever bothered.
BUT, I hear White Pie in Denver is decent.

I would think an airline ticket would be cheaper than Goldbelly.
BUT…I just went to their site. 4 Sally’s pizzas for $110. About 22 bucks a pie. Not bad.

We live in WA and this is our go to splurge pizza (which isn’t even a splurge because our take and bakes here are $28)
Get a pizza steel. Let your oven preheat at the hottest it can go for at least 30 minutes, then bake as directed.

My teenage son is a frozen pizza connoisseur lol … like he ranks them … said this was the best FROZEN pizza he had ever had. It was very good and will admit, Gold Belly is expensive but tempting …

Blue pan in Denver is solid with diff types but I think it was only NY style, not New Haven.
Or a jumbo slice from Cosmo’s in Boulder after 10 beers

Black sky brewery is supposedly New Haven style pizza fyi.
I have never had other New Haven style pizza, so I can’t say how authentic it is, but I like it.
