First three are from Ssal, whose cuisine I would describe as “Koreanish”. (1: Bluefin tuna and caviar 2: Quail 3: Strawberries). I thought the food was all good. One or two of the bites, like this tuna and the eel were sublime. The dessert was boring and the wine pairings didn’t do anything for me. Service was friendly, though I remember sitting with a bunch of mostly empty glasses at one point.

Second three are from the New Nordic restaurant Sons and Daughters (1: prawn tart with gooseberry garum 2: Halibut 3: Strawberries). The service and presentation were excellent. I felt it was just the right amount of food. I’m still growing into loving Nordic food but I didn’t dislike anything. I loved the rutabaga and buckwheat dishes. My partner didn’t like the seeds in the tart or the venison (not pictured).
