This is a rage bait post if I’ve seen one.

It’s not well done but it’s not raw either. Safe to eat

These are cooked medium to medium rare. This is how I’ve ordered my burger in every restaurant that’s asked for 20+ years and I’ve never had an issue.

Y’all are cowards, you can keep your dry-ass beef.

That meat looks perfectly fine. What’s with everyone being petrified of some pink?

It’s cultural. In Canadian restaurants burgers must be served well done. I think there are a handful of places that butcher and grind on site who can cook burgers to temp.

Canada had a bad run of listeria, and E coli from improperly handled/prepared meat for decades, like from the 80s to the 2010s? A bunch of folks in nursing homes died. One of my earliest memories is hearing stories about the 1991 NWT contamination event.

Burger temperature is a preference and somehow I doubt being asked my preference by a waiter is unique to my area of south Florida.

If you like your burger cooked well then just do that.

    There’s no right way.

If you think you’ll get sick then that is an assumption you’re making on how the meat has been handled. I don’t blame anyone for not taking chances.

    I’ve never gotten sick though.

My man shaved it and told it scary stories about fire while walking it past the stove. Love it.

Do you want some sandwich with your tomato?

  9. Look, medium rare burgers are like eating ass. They are not for everybody, but for those who enjoy eating them, they have a more refined palate.

This is the best “we’ve got burgers at home” pic I’ve seen

Not McDonalds or a hockey puck. Sub gonna big mad. That looks great btw and sourdough is goated.

The only issue here is lack of cheese

What’s going on with the comments lol
Do people on a burger subreddit just not know about medium rare burgers or something?

  14. If I made that from my freezer cow I’m destroying that. If that came to me in a restaurant I’d send it back.

I can do a medium burger any time, but mid rare or rare isn’t for me…even with fresh ground.

The two inch thick tomato cut. Why? You could have cut that into three equal slices of tomato, instead you did that? Like I get it if you like tomato, but that’s rage bait.

You didn’t make a smash burger or post a some fast food burger so naturally this sub is going to freak out because you know…it’s different from the hive mindset. Love me a good rare/raw burger although I like I thicker bun.

  18. I’d take this over a stupid smash burger any day.

  19. People are raging on this but I think the bread is in good taste. I’d want my patties a touch less red inside but again that’s a personal preference.

  20. PicksburghStillers

I love a medium burger. If I ever get sick one day I’ll probably change my tune, but until then I’m gonna keep eating them like the one pictured.

I’ve been eating my burgers medium rare for at least 45 years. Cook them however you like, but don’t bitch at other people about their preferences.
