Jersey Kebab Of Haddon Township announced today that they are relocating to Collingswood, taking over the restaurant space that most recently is Stardust Cafe and previously was Pop Shop.
The Stardust Cafe that is currently operating in the Collingswood location (Haddon Ave at Washington) will be closing, but is still open as of the publication date of this article.

Jersey Kebab is a Mediterranean restaurant which began over 70 years ago in Turkey, and over the years has operated a variety of restaurants… fully shifting the focus to Mediterranean around 1987.
In 2021 the family brought their passion for food to Haddon Township, where they continue the family’s tradition of serving freshly prepared Mediterranean dishes with the same care and cultural pride that they had back home in Turkey.
A 42Freeway reader reached out to me a few days ago to tell me they heard this was coming, but I didn’t get a chance to get over there… but within the last hour the Jersey Kebab Facebook page broke the news, with a photo of a handwritten signed placed on their window.
WE ARE MOVING is boldly proclaimed at the top of the sign where they then go on to say that Sunday October 26th will be the last day at the Haddon Township location.
They will obviously need some time to prepare the Collingswood location, and they do not offer a opening date to reopen, other than ASAP!
Jersey Kebab features a full menu of Mediterranean dishes with shish kebabs and kofte kebab wraps as a focal point…. available in a variety of styles including chicken, lamb or the kofte small ground beef patties.
Signature plates include lamb chop, chicken chop and more… you can even order a comb!
Gyros are also a key part of the Mediterranean Cuisine and at Jersey Kebab you have choices of beef, lamb, chicken, falafel.. and even their famous Cheesesteak gyro where they take their delicious seasoned Mediterranean meats and add your choice of cheese and fried onions! Yes, the even have Cheese Wiz.
Jersey Kebab also supports American Cuisine offering cheeseburgers, chicken wings, hot dogs and a few other options.
Marilyn of the South Jersey Food Scene also just now covered this story and said she has spoken to ownership who confirmed that the move is taking place and Stardust Cafe is closing. Additionally within the Facebook comments at the Jersey Kebab page, ownership has also confirmed that Stardust is closing.
More on this story when Jersey Kabob is ready to open… I am intrigued by a Cheesesteak Gyro!
