If you fancy taking your plana for Christmas 2025 to new heights, a stunning rooftop bar and restaurant in Newcastle is serving up a 26 storey high dinner that looks set to be a hot ticket this year. And, as well as a lavish meal, you also get to enjoy some epic views of the city.
Keen to get your festive calendar in order but still missing that all important meal out with friends or family? Well, you can’t even feel guilty now for trying to get people to commit to Christmas related activities, as we’re nearing the end of October and just over a week away from Halloween and the reveal of Fenwick’s Window, meaning that winter, whether you choose to accept it or not, is coming. No, we’re not about to get all Game of Thrones on you, we’re simply offering a gentle reminder that there isn’t too long to go now until the C word starts to dominate conversation.
And, there’s a place in Newcastle city centre that is ready to welcome you to enjoy a sumptuous festive feast in beautiful surroundings that will have you feeling like a VIP as you tuck in, with the added bonus that you can gze out onto some breathtaking views of town and across the river, to see the Toon in all its glory. The location is 3Sixty, the much buzzed about venue that sits atop the statuesque Hadrian’s Tower building not far from St James’ Park.

Having been there at night, on the very evening that NUFC kicked off their Champion’s League campaign at home to Barcelona, ChronicleLive can confirm that the views from its floor to ceiling windows are unrivalled, as you get to see the city come alive at night, not that you’d need any distraction from the main event, which is very much the food.
Enjoying a Christmas dinner while looking at a twinkling tree in September did feel rather rogue, but when it was a good as the one at 3Sixty, it felt only right to oblige. The Christmas Menu at 3Sixty is priced £39.95, with starters including French Onion Soup and Smoked Salmon Terrine and mains, other than the Traditional Turkey and the trimmings, including Beef Wellington and Lamb Shanks. And those with a sweet tooth can indulge in dishes ranging from Festive Pavlova to Salted Caramel Profiteroles.
