Venice, Italy 2023 – JW Marriott Venice Resort & SPA, part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, located in the romantic and Mediterranean setting of Isola delle Rose, a few minutes by boat from Piazza San Marco, where tradition, elegance and nature come together in a perfect balance, welcomes back its guests for the 2023 season with a series of unique and personalized experiences of relaxation, wellness and fine cuisine.

The resort boasts 266 rooms and suites, designed in a contemporary style by the architect Matteo Thun and divided into two main experiences, namely the JW rooms, located in the main building, and the JW Retreats surrounded by greenery: La Residenza, La Maisonette, L’Uliveto and the exclusive Villa Rose. Isola delle Rose is a private island built in 1870. Thanks to its strategic position between the lagoon and the sea, as well as to the breezes that generate a mild and beneficial climate, the island boasts a wealth of plants that cannot be found anywhere else in Venice. These include an olive grove with a hundred plants from which the island’s olive oil is produced and served at the tables of the resort’s restaurant. In addition to the magnificent olive grove, the resort also houses a vegetable garden, fruit trees as well as a wonderful cultivation of roses, eponymous of the island.

Among the latest news for the 2023 season, we find a gastronomic proposal of excellence with Agli Amici Dopolavoro under the direction of chef Emanuele Scarello who, with a philosophy of cuisine deeply connected to what the island and the lagoon have to offer, welcomes guests in an environment with a sophisticated atmosphere, enriched by surprising architectural details dating back to the 1920s and an innovative menu, with green and sustainable proposals from the vegetable and marine world.

The gastronomic offer is composed of  four additional restaurants, including  Sagra Rooftop Restaurant, led by Executive Chef Giorgio Schifferegger with the constant support of Chef de Cusine Rosario Martorana and Executive Sous Chef Raffaele Lotto, with a spectacular view overlooking the island’s park and the lagoon as far as San Marco church, the perfect setting for a light lunch or a romantic dinner, three bars, the Pop up Bar signed by Moet at the Infinity Pool and the Pop Up at the Pizzeria Gourmet by maestro Renato Bosco, where, exclusively for the 2023 summer season, guests will be able to enjoy the delicious pizza that have made the Veronese Chef famous. Guests can also enjoy a poolside lunch tasting delicious barbecue dishes at the Giardino Grill.

Keeping on the culinary front, there is the Sapori Cooking Academy, with a full calendar of activities for guests, including two appointments a day dedicated to courses on Italian cuisine and pastry-making. In the Dispensa, guests will be able to buy a wide selection of JW Venice-branded products: from bottled cocktails dedicated to roses, to JW-branded pasta, JW-branded honey, the traditional homemade Venetian fugassa and much more.

Among the gastronomic activities worth to mention is the Chic Nic– an informal, relaxed pic- nic lunch to enjoy surrounded by the island’s nature, tasting typical Italian sandwiches, healthy salads and delicious homemade snacks. Chic Nic is  ideal for couples and families with children.

JW Venice Resort & SPA offers both hotel guests and external customers a unique place to regenerate and relax, with a wide range of high-end  holistic packages, products, and treatments. The collaboration with BAKEL, a 100% Italian brand that invests in research and development, has also been confirmed. BAKEL curates the wellness and beauty offer at the JW Venice SPA and, exclusively for the Venetian Resort, offers the brand new JALU-3D Pro* Instant 3D Treatment, a line of treatments designed with an intensive protocol able to eliminate the signs of time and with a visible and immediate effect of revitalized, relaxed and luminous skin. Nested in the simple and elegant buildings of the early 1900s, the Spa, with its 1750 square metres, boasts eight cabins overlooking the lagoon and a wonderful suite, a sauna and bio sauna, the hammam and a magnificent heated indoor pool, which is extended outside through a sequence of sliding glass windows. From May, the evening spa will once again be available until 11 p.m., for those who wish to enjoy the relaxation guaranteed by the largest spa in Venice…under the stars!

JW Marriott Venice has always been the ideal destination for families visiting the wonderful city of Venice, offering experiences specially curated to entertain the little ones during the day. The resort includes the equipped Kidz Club, supported by Brick4Kidz, which will not only offer young guests a “children’s room”, but a programme of activities involving both the resort and the city that will help parents to entertain children during sightseeing tours, proposed in collaboration with ShowMeVenice, while providing plenty of educational ideas. JW Marriott Venice offers a new way of conceiving family entertainment, which implies not simply more leisure, but real Edutaiment. The Bricks4Kidz Laboratory is open daily from 11:00-12:00 and from 16:00-17:00.

Another highlight not to be missed is the second edition of Il Segno dell’Acqua, the art exhibition in collaboration with Frank&Frank and Michela Codutti, whose works, in constant rotation, are also open for sale for the  the resort’s guests.

Guests will also be able to enjoy numerous outdoor activities in contact with nature and the local traditions, such as horse riding, hiking, fitness and yoga classes, and the beloved open-air cinema, where films for the whole family will be shown on a screen measuring over 3 metres. Thanks to the JW Venice VOGA Academy, the Resort’s first sports school dedicated to traditional Venetian rowing, guests will have the opportunity to attend lessons for  approx. 2 hours a day, which will take place both on the Isola delle Rose and in Venice, combining a sport activity with  a visit to the city, experiencing the lagoon as the locals do and learning about what was once the only vehicle for transit and transport in the city. The JW Venice Voga Academy is open to individuals, couples and entire families and can be booked like every other package and experience, via the resort app.

Cristiano Cabutti, General Manager of the JW Marriott Venice is thrilled to announce all the news of the 2023 season: “I am very glad, together with the whole team, to be able to welcome our guests back to Isola delle Rose. In this wonderful beginning of the season, we are proud to be able to present many news such such as “Agli Amici Dopolavoro” in partnership with Emanuele and Michela Scarello, a culinary excellence that will be appreciated by many guests who come back to visit us every year, with a gourmet proposal of lagoon dishes and products coming straight from our garden. A very special guest is also Renato Bosco, the famous Veronese chef who, with his gourmet pizza proposals, adds innovation and research to regionality and culture. His work is a continuous effort to celebrate traditions by combining them with contemporary expertise. We also have marvellous renovated spaces specially designed to make our guests experience an unforgettable stay, with the introduction of a new evening pop-up dedicated to bubbles in our rooftop pool, musical entertainment, art exhibitions and a Spa with state-of-the-art treatments. The perfect synthesis of culture, good food, entertainment and pure holistic wellness!”
