Hi everyone! I've been dieting for quite a while, at home I can measure everything just fine, but when I eat out I'm at a total loss. I measured this meal at about 1700 calories but that doesn't seem right, maybe more like 900 or 1000? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

    Apologies but why is that surprising? There’s 4 tbsp of mayo and 2 tbsp of butter in the meal. That itself is 600 calories. If you want to lower calories reduce your fat intake. It’s the most calorific macronutrient at 9cals/gram if I’m not mistaken.

    That looks like half a chicken sub with cheese. Bread does run a little high, but I’d say that looks more around 300 max for the bread. Looks like 5oz of chicken max so around 300. All in all I’d say max around 7-800 for the half sub. The salad is whatever
