10 year old Genesis. What is this lid liner part called?
What is this liner called? Is it replaceable?
Should it be replaced now?
Thanks

Creosote? You can scrape it off, and then cook more things to replace it. It’s just left over carbon from smoke as far as I know.
Edit: I see the rust holes now.

My 10 year old Genesis E330 copper had the same issue. I went through Weber and they are replacing the lid under warranty. BTW, they are also replacing the 4 burner tubes under warranty, they had holes in the ends where they meet the back of the cook box.

Mine is approaching 30 years old and has the same kind of holes in the same place. Doesn’t affect it at all.

It’s simply called a lid liner. It’s not available as a separate component. I work for Weber.
