All right, picture this. Sunblazing, a breeze off the Bosphorus, a plate piled high with the freshest, most colorful salads you’ve ever seen. Today, I’m counting down my top 10 legendary Turkish salads you absolutely got to try this summer. Let’s kick things off with number 10, Gabas Salatasa. Juicy tomatoes, crunchy walnuts, pomegranate, molasses, a zing of sumac. It’s sweet, tangy, and totally addictive. Number nine is choben salatasa or shephardd salad. Cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, peppers, a generous drizzle of olive oil. Crisp, simple, and oh so refreshing. Coming in at eight, casser bulgar parsley, tomato paste, a little kick from iceot pepper. Perfect for picnics or just snacking straight from the bowl. Number seven, piaz. White beans, red onions, parsley, hard-boiled eggs, and a splash of tangy vinegar. It’s hearty, it’s zesty, and it’s pure comfort. Sixth spot goes to Patlican salad. Smoky eggplant salad. Eggplants get fire roasted until they’re meltingly soft, then mixed with garlic, lemon, and olive oil. It’s a flavor bomb. Halfway there. Number five, burula salatasa. That’s black eyed peas tossed with tomatoes, onions, and lemon juice. Light, proteinpacked, and super satisfying. Four is havous territory. Grated carrots, creamy yogurt, and a hint of garlic. It’s sweet, tangy, and totally unique. Number three, Zatinala engineer or artichokes in olive oil. Tender artichoke hearts, peas, carrots, and potatoes all bathed in fruity olive oil. It’s sunshine on a plate. Runner up, kabak salatasa. Shredded zucchini, fresh dill, and a dollop of yogurt. It’s cool. It’s creamy and it’s the taste of summer. And finally, number one, Tabula’s Turkish Twin, Kuser, makes a comeback because it’s just that good. Bright, herby, and bursting with flavor. So, there you have it. My top 10 Turkish salads you’ve got to try this summer. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you. Which one are you dying to try first? Drop it in the comments below.
