Make these and let me know what you think!
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ tsp salt
Filling:
3 large eggs
¾ cup light corn syrup
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
1 ½ cups chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Heat your oven to 350°F and line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper. In a bowl, mix the flour, butter, sugar, and salt until crumbly, then press it into the pan. Bake about 15–20 minutes, just until it starts to turn golden.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Stir in the pecans and chocolate chips. Pour the mixture over the warm crust and spread it out evenly.
Bake 25–30 minutes, until the center is mostly set. Let it cool completely before lifting it out and cutting into bars.
