Tasting with our wine group. Sparkling and Champagne were 2019, 2008 and 2010 respectively. All others 2010s. Great night. Great wine. Great food. Great friends.

I had the ermitage recently. I was really taken by the acidity and power. It was a really impressive sparkling wine that was not even thinking about trying to be a champagne. I wasn’t convinced it was a 100 point wine but it’s within spitting distance of a lot of really anonymous tasting champagne and I can’t imagine choosing one of those instead.

Within Crista vintagesl the 2008 is excellent, but 100 points. I find it not good enough when compared to some really excellent champagnes.
