I thought this might be of interest but okay if mods don’t think so! This is from a 1939 children’s educational book about infectious disease prevention and the immune system in which Jimmy Microbe gives us a tour of the micro-world, the section on botulism.

    I kind of want a copy for my kid. A lot has changed of course, but some of it will still be accurate and history is worth teaching.

  3. If they’ve been cooked before canning, and are *boiled* 30 min again, aren’t the beans going to be mush ?
