Large fries? I wonder if employees get paid more for not giving out large.

Any time I ever try to whatasize my meal the large fries look sad. Not usually this sad, but still sad. I feel like I’m paying extra for a bigger container, and that’s it.

The airport Whataburger is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes I eat there and I’m happy I stopped, other times I wish I had just gone ahead to the airport, through a TSA cavity search, to get some Sysco reheated brisket from the airport vendors.

Hot take, Whataburger is not that good. Pick another place to eat.

I had that happen and I took it up to the counter. Talked to the manager, “Sir, I ordered a large fry and this is what I got”. He apologized, went and got a fresh order of large fries and a cookie.

I was a night manager at a fast food restaurant in a former life. We were supposed to weigh the fries. Not fill the containers! We refused to do that. Night customers got full portions. We didn’t care about any trouble resulting from those customers coming in during daytime hours and getting the weighed portions and complaining. French fry yield was calculated every day and to cover our nighttime generosity, I would take lots of bags at the end of the night and toss them in my trunk. The night crew received accolades over our miserly french fry delivery! The numbers were ridiculous. I finally decided to quit and in the last two weeks replaced all the stolen bags. I wasn’t there when the poop flew, but it appeared that someone was stealing bags of fries! Imagine that?

The Whataburger near me doesn’t even have the good pellet ice. It’s like I’m in hell.

Easily the most inconsistent fast food restaurant. Feels like it’s either great, or hot garbage, highly dependant upon location, and lately it leans towards the latter.

I used to be a Whataburgian, recently converted to PTerrian

  13. As others have mentioned, Whataburger’s quality swings wildly dependent on the location. I can’t think of a single good one I’ve been to in Austin. Slow service, over salted, over cooked, etc. However I’ve been to a few in small towns way away from the city, and been impressed by the level of giving a shit they actually have.

Airport whataburger is the worst location I’ve ever been to by far. I ate there consistently while working near the airport since there’s not many options and they consistently took forever and the quality was just bad.

On more than one occasion I would place curbside pick up orders, pull into a spot and check in, wait 15+ minutes before walking inside to ask where my food is only to find out they haven’t even started it.

Also have had to back out of the drive through line to let people out who were going to miss their flight the food was taking so long. I’m talking 45+ minutes in the drive though. Corporate should be up this whataburger locations ass. Piss poor management.

I stoped buying large because they did this shit. They fill the mediums well.

I’ve always wondered about that Whataburger while waiting to pickup my loved ones in the cell phone lot. Glad someone else went so I don’t have to go now.

Work at the airport since there’s nothing really good around I frequent this whata and whoever is on the fry station has to be the saltiest person ever 😂

Go ask for more fries, but also this looks like a large size in a whatasize container, they could have just ran out of the large container.

Best Whataburger is on Slaughter and Brodie near the Randall’s. Little chef in the back always cooking burgers to perfection and the fries and onion rings come out piping hot and delicious.
