It's too strong on it's own.

The great thing about ingredients is you can find the mix you love.
But I’m time you’ll crave uncut mustard

My wife also doesn’t like dijon and has to use french’s. I grew up eating raw garlic, onions and peppers so I barely notice it

Is this was “cut the mustard” refers to?

Until I came here I’ve never heard so many people talk tough about condiments. Hope you guys got that pat on the head you needed………for eating mustard.

Just wait till op tries horseradish. Don’t exhale through your nose

I always thought Dijon was a mild mustard, but can understand some people might find it too strong. Personally my favourite is Coleman’s English mustard.

Only fat gator tails for the true pros who built up and earned their tolerance.

    God “speed,” my friend.

Maybe try putting less on? It’s not meant to be a thick spread (generally)

  10. 25% dijon, 75% mayo, minced garlic, lemon juice, capers, black pepper.

People from England mockingly laugh and say “pah”

  12. Dijon on its own doesn’t belong on a sandwich. In general Dijon is just not an all-purpose mustard. It’s good for cooking and salad dressings, but I don’t want it on a sausage or in a sandwich. Spicy brown mustard, on the other hand, is perfect on sandwiches and also works great for cooking and to emulsify dressing. I also like a German half spicy mustard I bought. It’s like a perfect blend of Dijon and yellow mustard. I can eat that with a spoon.

  13. Can we talk about the Hellman’s? It’s Mrs. Duke’s or nothing.

I assume you mean the real Dijon mustard is too strong on its own. And I like that you are using the Aldi mayonnaise, closest thing to Hellmann’s at half the price I’ve ever found

I LOVE Dijon by itself. But hot take: (and idgaf about what flack I’ll get, I’ll die on this hill🤷🏻‍♀️)mix a good portion Dijon, with a *dash* of CFA sauce, and some fresh lemon juice and fresh dill (dill is optional, but HIGHLY recommended) Shit’s an absolute game changer.👍

It does mellow a bit once it’s open. Fallot is even hotter.

If you think that is too strong.. make sure you never buy Colmans/English mustard

Weak. I lick the knife off after spreading it
