    My family have all been in some form of woodworking or construction. My dad completely cut off a finger with a table saw in 1991.
    My brother nearly cut his finger off with a table saw and after a bit of a botched surgery now has limited movement (he wishes he’d just had it amputated).
    Second brother cut his finger really badly in some sort of shop equipment, can’t remember what.
    Third brother smashed and nearly lost his thumb in a wood splitter.
    I think I need to make this cake for our next family gathering.
