There is a temp difference between my measured temp and the temp on the display. Am I doing something wrong in the setup? I'm still a novice, so I thought it could be something on my side. model is Inkbird 100w2.0.

p.s. the rack is not touching the sv if that matters.

Thank you for your picture post to r/souvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

    Thank you!!

Run it for a while set at certain temp and measure water to see if water temp stabilizes at that temp. While heating up sometimes the water in the shroud can be hotter than the water overall.

Do you have another thermometer? I’d probably trust the inkbird more than the thermometer tbh. It looks like a pretty cheap one (no shade) and they can be notoriously unreliable

  4. So you set it at 59c, it says it’s at 64c, and your thermometer says 48c?

If so, yeah seems like your circulator is fubar.
