Grocery store wings weren’t looking good today so I grabbed some deli tenders that just came out. Quick air fry crisp and sauced hot teriyaki garlic. Phenomenal

  1. Is there a real difference between boneless wings and chicken tenders?

  2. Mostly_Maui_Wowie

Fuckin’ tenders. Lame. Fuck outta here.

Sometimes you gotta make do. Some grocery stores have pretty good wings. I miss living in Publix territory and destroying a 20 pack of wings for $10

Look, you came to a wing enthusiast subreddit with tenders. I think the feedback you’re getting is about right. That being said, I’d meal those easily. Hope they were good.

Strips definitely have better breading than boneless; hard shell

I would never intentionally get boneless, not to sound like a prude but if I want wings then I want legit bone in wings, not cut up chicken tenders.

Boneless wings are just over priced chicken nuggets covered in sauce.

Those are chicken fingers in sauce. Gotta be bone in.

They’re not wings, but they’re still capable of being yummy. Personally, I wish they made dark meat tenders. They’d be juicier.

These do look absolutely delicious 👌

Look bomb. But those are just saucy tenders.

Is it just the name people don’t like about them or is it they just don’t like the concept of the actual food? Or both?

I’ve always been the type of person that any piece of deep fried chicken whether its a wing, drumstick, tender, nugget, can all be delicious in some form so I guess I can understand the name hate, but people often love other “boneless wing” type foods that are named differently.

General Tso Chicken/Orange Chicken are both popular as hell and are very similar to a saucy breaded “boneless wing” in many ways.

Those are essentially Korean Fried Chicken tenders

Just call them what they are. Buffalo tenders

Chicky nuggies. That boob meat not wing meat

I forget who, but I saw this cook on tiktok make actual boneless wings, as in the flats deboned then lightly breaded and fried, and now that is the only thing I will accept as boneless wings. These are tenders.

Buffalonian here, just had boneless wings for the first time in almost a decade today.

I wanted to smoke 100 for my son’s 2nd bday party we held but I have a mooch of a corgi and it’d be RISKY. Settled with boneless wings from a local pizza spot and had mid expectations. Sauced 4 different ways, they were actually delicious. Never would take them at a 1:1 cost of bone-in but the sheet pizza deal w/ em was too good to pass up

  18. So if I made a chicken drum the same way that I do as a wing with longer cook time can I call it a big wing? Gotta bone doesn’t it?

  19. pazuzusoze

There is no such thing as a boneless wing. I hate the whole concept.

  20. They look good, but they aren’t boneless wings.

They are good when you get really stoned and doing shots of ranch it!
