Last week, I asked if a master list of restaurants recommended from this community was possible in this post.

There was a lot of enthusiasm and great feedback, but there was also a lot of fear/doubt about harsh critics and issues with low quality posts making it an uphill battle.

So, I invited people to contribute to this NYT Top 100 List as an experiment to see how r/FoodNYC would rank it if it was a blank template. Tbh, the results were messy (u/yugyagaseh you were definitely right about most things LOL) and the voting was chaotic, but I learned a lot!

Please know that this list is in no shape or form an end result representation of what the top restaurants are and I would recommend taking it with a boulder's worth of salt…I mean Olive Garden Times Square didn't even make the list so it's low-key rigged.

Look at this as a living list that will keep changing as more people rank and I just thought it would be fun to see what would happen if we just let people vote.

Having said that, here are the current results for the top 10:

  1. Eyval
  2. Szechuan Mountain House
  3. The Four Horsemen
  4. Jungsik
  5. Crown Shy
  6. Sofreh
  7. Dhamaka
  8. Thai Diner
  9. Le Bernardin
  10. Via Carota
