Boston
There’s no seating and barely enough room to turn around, but Gary’s Pizza in the South End (the latest from Columbus Hospitality Group, who’s behind Mooo…., Ostra, Mistral, and Sorellina) is making regulars out of plenty of Bostonians. The Roman-style pies — a form that remains relatively rare in Greater Boston — come out light and airy-crisp. The rectangular slices come with fragrant tomato sauce and toppings like prosciutto, soppressata, and spring asparagus. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the options, it’s never a bad move to go for a pepperoni slice, showered with Parmesan and dried oregano.
