Junes has been around for a good while now. My wife and I have been 4 times over the years. All of our experiences there have been good, but none as good as last Sunday morning for brunch.
We got there right after open and were able to walk in. The hostess let us know that a reservation required the table in a little over an hour which was not a problem for us. There was seating open outside but it was hot and the sun was beaming down on the patio.
We each got a cappuccino to start and we shared some baked goods. We got the cherry and pistachio cruller (I would go back just for this) and chocolate muffin. My wife settled on their appetizing board and I got the croque madam. Both plates were great and we shared a few bites between us. We also shared a side of fries. They were thin, crispy, delicious. My sandwich was substantial. I left very full. Maybe the bread could have been sliced thinner but I won’t complain because the ham was sliced thin and of high quality. The egg on top was cooked perfectly with a spreadable yolk, and the Mornay sauce was perfectly seasoned. It also came with marmalade to smear on each bite. The accompanying salad had a nice vinegar pop to cut through all that richness.
My wife’s smoked salmon was really good and the accoutrement all worked together. It’s a fun dish to eat because you get to build each bit.
That’s a lot to say I highly recommend brunch at June’s All Day. You will definitely need reservations if you can’t get there early.
