Recipe for broccoli cheddar casserole

 1 1/2cup of heavy whipping cream
 2-medium bags of frozen broccoli, chopped
1-medium onion, chopped 3tablespoons of butter
2 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
 4-eggs
6 ounces of sour cream
1 -tablespoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2-teaspoon of salt
 1 -tablespoon of parsley flakes dried

After your broccoli has been drained, add your eggs to your chopped broccoli, garlic powder, salt, and pepper mix that together and sit this mixture aside. Until you have your cheese sauce, ready layer your broccoli with 1/2 cup of cheese until Done then pour your cheese sauce over your broccoli. Cook for 30 minutes. Preheat it oven 350° in the recipe it says 2 1/2 cup of cheddar use a half cup for layering of the broccoli only 2 cups go in the cheese sauce let sit for 30 minutes then serve enjoy

2 cups of Ritz cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons of butter
You may add parsley flakes to this if you like
No other seasoning your topping is ready

Okay, family. We have a a a dish for you today. You remember Oh, Sister Pam is in the house. Sister Pam is in the house. She’s in the house. And uh y’all remember the other day we were talking about casserles and I think we did two casserles rolls, didn’t we? We So we got we got one more casserole to go. And these are what? Side dishes, right? Yes. Side dishes for Thanksgiving or either a Sunday dinner. Either one. Side dishes. And so we’re going to do um broccoli casserole. Now this is going to be different from the way I make broccoli casserole. My broccoli casserole is chicken, rice, broccoli. No, we’re going to do a broccoli cheddar casserole. So, this is broccoli and cheese casserole is going to be baked on the inside of the oven. So, uh uh I’ll show you the items that I’m going to put in. We’re going to do out of cheddar and sour cream and and a little heavy cream and make a cheese sauce and put it over there. So, this is going to be just broccoli and cheddar, no rice, no u no any kind of protein, you know, no shrimp or no chicken in it. And so this is going to be a good and easy and simple for our new cooks so they will know how to make a broccoli casserole. Now closer to uh I guess Thanksgiving, I’ll bring you all uh the broccoli ch the broccoli cheese and chicken and rice casserole. But for now, we’re just going to do just the broccoli and cheddar casserole. So y’all get a pen and write this stuff down if you can. I Yeah. And I’ll get the recipes as soon as possible. Somebody um messaged me and they wanted the recipe to the um gumbo and I’m going to get it for you. I’m going to put it down. The thing is with me and recipes, I remember a lot off of the top of my head. Now, like I said, recipes is only uh ideas written on paper and um so I think I need to start I’ve started writing some of my recipes down, but sometime it’s you know you have to measure and give people the correct measurements so when they make your dish it’ll taste like you made it, right? And so sometimes, you know, you have to configure and and and and get things together. And so that’s what I’ve been doing on a lot of my recipes. And a lot of time as we go, if I want to put a little bit more of this, a little bit more of that, you know, I I write it down and, you know, try to remember. And that’s how the recipes are created. Now, when you hear me say this is my recipe, it came from here and some of it got to be put on paper. So I will get that gumbo recipe um down for you all. I know how to make gumbo. Gumbo, my gumbo is delicious. And that gumbo was it was good to the last drop. Good to the last drop. And you all make sure y’all go ahead and make that delicious apple cake, y’all. That apple cake was delicious. So, how was yours when you It was love. I’m enjoying it. Cup of coffee. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Y’all, so we going to get into some fall baking. Um we going to get into some fall uh comfort foods like maybe some chili. you know, chili. You know, we love chili and, you know, some soups and stuff like that. And I’ve I’ve made my um chicken and dumplings. I made my chicken and dumplings before. So, but I’ll make it again, you know, even though I I have I have videos and I try to pan my videos up. So, let’s go ahead and get this broccoli and cheddar casserole made. Going to be easy, y’all. Going to be simple. A wonderful, wonderful, wonderful side dish for your holiday meals. Okay. Okay, family. This is what we’re going to uh need for our uh cheddar broccoli casserole. We have sour cream. We have heavy heavy heavy cream. We have salt, pepper, parsley flakes, garlic. That’s all we’re going to need for as the seasonings are concerned. Uh we have um um 3 tablespoons of butter. We have one whole onion. We have four eggs. We have frozen chopped broccoli. And I’m not going to steam this broccoli. I chopped it up. I let it thaw out. I chopped it and that’s enough. And we have our cheese and there’s our seasoning. So, let’s go ahead and get this together and we’re going to top we’re going to do the topping after we um finish with this. Okay. So, let’s go ahead and make our cheese sauce. Okay. We have our pan and we’re going in with our butter. Our butter was frozen, y’all. We going in with our butter. We’re going in with our cream. And we’re not going to use any uh cream soups or anything in here, but I do have a one that I make and I do use uh cream soups. Is that red? Um give me that rest. Thank you. So, I’m going to go ahead and add our seasoning in. and I’ll put the recipe down. And we’re going to go ahead and add our cheese in. Now, I had a little bit of mozzarella cheese that I wanted to use. So, I’m using a little bit of it. Just a little. That’s about uh two cups of cheese. Okay, we’re going to let this melt down. And family, we’re going in with about 6 oz of sour cream here. About 6 oz. And we’re going to get this mixed up. And it’s not going to take that long for our cheese sauce to come together. So y’all let me know down below how you make your broccoli and cheese. Now I have a recipe where I use a cream of mushroom soup in it. And I also slice up mushrooms uh finely. And uh I put my uh chicken and you can use a rotisserie chicken and which to me it’s better to just use a rotisserie chicken. Um, and I also use my rice, but this one is a little bit different. We’re not going to use any cream soups because we’re making our own uh cheese sauce. So, this is coming together. Okay, family. Everything has melted nicely. Let’s go ahead and remove this off the stove and get ready to get this casserole roll going. Okay, family. So, here’s our here’s our um broccoli. So, I added a little bit more garlic in here, a little bit more pepper, a little bit more salt. Also, I put some in my um uh skillet with my sauce. So, let’s go ahead and mix our egg up in here. Okay, we’re going to mix that up real good first. Okay. Then we’ll go ahead and put our um onions in. [Music] Okay. Get that mixed up. Okay. All right. Okay, y’all. So, what we did, we added our cheddar, I mean our broccoli in. And so, now what we’re going to do is we’re going to add our cheddar. And we don’t have a whole lot to layer. So, let’s go ahead and just add our add some cheddar on there. the rest of our um broccoli on. And you can use fresh or frozen broccoli. Just stir that up real good in there. Yeah, you can use fresh or frozen broccoli. And make sure if you use a frozen broccoli and you take it out and let it thaw and then put it in a colander and let that extra liquid drain off of it. different, isn’t it? We so used to y’all having out having um rice and all that, but we I decided not to and this it would be something, you know, easy. But uh for this same recipe, if you want to add rice in it, or if you want to go ahead and add your um chicken in it, you are welcome to. Now, sister putting a little bit. We have some chopped bacon, so she putting it on top. Okay. So, now we’re going to go ahead and pour our sauce on top of that. Y’all, this is going to be yummy. Okay, family. We have our casserole ready. And I did this with the squash casserole. I love it. And this is um three rolls, the uh the mini rolls or either maybe a roll and a half of uh Ritz crackers and about two tablespoons of uh melted butter. And you just mix it together. That’s it. And we’re going to uh put this in the oven, cover it up for about 15 minutes. And this will be done in about 30 minutes. Broccoli and cheddar casserole. And sister throw a little bacon bits over it. Okay, family. Our broccoli and cheddar um casserole is ready. We’re going to get ready to take a bite. It’s still good and hot. It is steamy and it looks absolutely delicious. Broccoli and cheddar casserole. Okay, family. Our delicious casserole is ready and it is ready to go y’all. It smells so good. It smells absolutely delicious. broccoli and chili casserole without any cream soups. And what I would suggest if you wanted to use uh we use a large bag and a small bag, but even if you want to use two large bags, it all depends on your family. But you Yeah, but you have quite I made quite enough uh sauce to go over it. It’s It’s absolutely delicious. Okay, let’s pray and give it a bite. Father, thank you for the food in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. And amen. That sister had a nerve to add some bacon. Excuse me. Now, this is delicious. I love it. This is delicious. Good. It is good, y’all. This is the delicious. Mhm. Very delicious. M and that that buttery uh cracker. Y’all make sure that y’all keep y’all some Ritz crackers on hand for y’all bacon is good. And you also can put these Ritz crackers inside of your casserole. And that top is absolutely delicious. Mhm. And you can um if you want to steam your broccoli or paw your broccoli before I didn’t want to do that because I I felt like that um this casserole was going to cook it. Right. Oh yeah. Delicious. I want to steam it. I would do it just like this one. Just like this. Whatever you want is up to you how you want to do yours. I’m putting down my uh recipe for this y’all. Your family will love it. They will really enjoy this sadness. Mhm. And you know what? This um this is just as good without the cream soups. But you know, as I’m eating this, you know what would be really good with this? If you put like shrimp in it. Oh yeah, that would be good. Oh y’all, that would be absolutely delicious with This would be absolutely delicious with shrimp in there. And if you want to use fresh broccoli, use fresh broccoli. Mhm. I did some delicious side. I did delicious be a meal with some with some meat. Put some protein. But we have a sister. Put a little big bacon bit on. But put you some meat in there. Some crab. They got meat on side chicken or whatever. Y’all, this is absolutely delicious and I hope y’all enjoy it and I’ll get the recipe down as quick as I can. But this is a good side dish for the holidays. you know, um you might not want any chicken in it because you going to use it as just a side dish and that’s what it is. But it’s just as good as a side dish, y’all. This is so good. Mhm. We’re going to finish up delicious. Very delicious with this cheddar, broccoli, and cheddar casserole and the bacon. Take it to another level bacon bits. Also, y’all, we want to say hello to our sister Susan Butler. Hello, Susan. Y’all, she sent us a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful gift today. Yes, she did. She sent Sister Pam and I Where yours? Yes. She sent us 10 lbs of already shell perfectly. Yes. Peacon. And this came from a Potter Country store, Orchard Farms. Peacon, Texas. Tasty. Yes. What about them nuts? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And so this this came from Texas for us today. And sister Pam and I both have 5 lbs. And so this is going to be happy baking for us. Peacon pies and everything that we’re going to need for these uh to to use these delicious nuts. Susa, we want to say thank you so much and we appreciate you. We appreciate these nuts. Yes, we do. And it’s a lot of them. Oh my goodness. Lot of bacon. A lot of bacon. A lot of it and a lot of EC sister show them sister had open her already open mine. I’ve been digging in and they are delicious. So, I think she said she put hers in freeze dry bags and she freeze them. And so, I’m thinking that’s what I might want to do to uh Is it freeze dry bags or just freezer bags? But I’m gonna uh I’m gonna separate these because this is a lot of nuts. I want to separate mine. I’m gonna separate mine and and I’m gonna be sting you with them. Look at that y’all.   2. That casserole looks so good! ❤️❤️❤️ I am thrilled you like your pecans and I cannot wait to make your pecan pie recipe. Also going to do a test run of your buttermilk pie. I freeze 2 cups of pecans per freezer bag and I shrink wrap. If you don’t have one of those, you can just freeze in freezer bag and try to get all the air out and close tight. They do very well frozen. But it can be difficult not eating them all before I get them stored! Thank you for all you do. ❤️❤️❤️
