It just makes sense that the replacement for Natalie’s is another wood-fired pizzeria.
According to owner Michael Rice, a former executive chef at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants concepts Cap City Fine Diner & Bar and The Barn, Fire Up Pizza will be taking over the former home of Natalie’s in Worthington, which is located at 5601 N. High St.
Fired Up Pizza–which began as a catering business, now offers frozen pizzas in supermarkets across the Columbus area–will serve wood-fired pies in addition to Italian deli mainstays.

“In addition to the pizza, we also want to offer more of a deli and market kind of feel,” Rice said.”We’ll have deli cases with prepared Italian foods, like lasagna, manicotti, meatballs sausages, fresh pastas, sauces and Italian meats and cheeses.”
The new concept will offer some dine-in space, but will not operate as a full-service eatery.
Rice said he’s aiming to open Fired Up in February.
