I’ve seen so many recipes that have stuffing, cream of chicken and chicken breast but what do you think about Alfredo instead of cream of chicken? I don’t have cream of chicken but I do have some Alfredo and I’m not even sure I want to try this idea. I’m just curious what others might think.
I know there are more ingredients in the chicken stuffing recipes than what I mentioned above but I’m thinking Alfredo would cover the liquid of at least the cream of chicken and part of the liquid from any chicken stock that any individual recipe might call for.
I added photos of the basics of what I’m thinking and a somewhat sample recipe.

    IMO…Alfredo is all wrong for the stuffing. That might do better in a cheesy Alfredo chicken bake something. But Alfredo would overpower the stuffing flavor, as well as be terribly gummy.

    A little low on vegetables. Add onions and/or broccoli?

    But I’d give it a 6/10. Warm, filling, salty, crunchy, quick, easy, affordable. Will successfully prevent you from being hungry, even if it’s not gourmet. I’ve fed myself a lot worse.

    My mom used to make this, with the frozen mixed veggies bag that has extra lima beans in it 🤢 I feel a mix of nostalgia and indifference

    I think this sounds great but agree it would be better in the oven. Bake the wets until the chicken is done, add topping, bake until cooked and crispy.

    Alfredo sauce is significantly more expensive than a can of condensed soup so that’s one reason for using the soup. Also, you can substitute cream of mushroom or another cream soup for the cream of chicken, if you have one of those.

    I’ve tried stuffing a few times in the crock pot and it’s just not as good as it is in the oven.

    Peppered Cream gravy. That’s it. That’s the comment.

    Cook the stuffing, dice and cook the chicken.

    Mix em. Pour over the cream gravy

    I’ll be honest I’ve never had a good canned Alfredo sauce. It’s pretty easy to make yourself!

    My Mom’s Zucchini casserole with Stove Top… absolutely awesome!! Sounds weird, but it is so good!! (and she was a horrible cook)
