You CANNOT substitute Milk for Greek yogurt in Hamburger Helper

    I think you mean substitute yogurt for milk. And you can, you just gotta temper it. Put a scoop of your hot stuff into your yogurt, mix, then add it back to your pot.

    You can add extra butter instead and maybe ranch dressing if you want more creaminess

    Just use water for this stuff when you’re out of milk. It might have a weird gray appearance but tastes fine. Boxed mac and cheese too. Just water is fine. You could also just use a spoonful of yogurt or sour cream in a cup of water. Or stir some in at the end.

    This hurt my brain and made me nostalgic at the same time. I grew up with Hamburger Helper and when the “lasagna” was featured, it would have a big ol’ serving of cottage cheese in the middle for extra filler.

    Incorporate the yogurt at a lower temperature so it doesn’t separate, or use cream cheese

    Make a cornstarch slurry to thicken it. I tablespoon cold h20 + 1 tbls cornstarch, mix then add to soup.
