Came with a cup of tea and some toast. I’m from America so not sure on cost. Is this about right?

I think you are mostly paying for the location/brand. The ingredient quality looks quite nice but the price is steep. Was this price for one breakfast? Did it include tea/coffee?

Holy Jesus £45, hope they gave you a kiss while you were being fucked 👎

Its outstanding value if you take the plates, cups and saucers, cutlery, silverware, tablecloth, and table. Well done the Dorchester.

If you live on Foie gras, caviar, lobster, Kobe beef and champagne I suppose a “cheap” fryup is acceptable now and again

I prefer the Dorchester Royal Oscietra caviar eggs Royale. Only £120.

  6. Excellent value mate, fryups are usually about £125 so you’ve won a watch there. Buy another

Clearly I’m taking the piss here — I am aware this is really expensive but you know what, everything was delicious — they make it all from scratch, the Cumberland in particular was delicious, everything totally fresh and yes it came with tea, toast, and a pastry plate. I did have to ensure a conversation about the price of Dubai real estate from the table next to mine but otherwise no complaints.

Absolutely not. Quality of the breakfast looks fine, though I’d argue those beans haven’t been cooking for long enough (the sauce looks too runny – it should be reduced a little so it’s thicker). Anything over £10/12 in my view needs two sausages.

You don’t really go to places like The Dorchester for a fry up. The best fry ups are to be found in random cafés dotted all over the place. It’s like if I went to (*tries to think of a posh American hotel*) the Plaza Hotel for (*tries to think of a stereotypical American meal*) grits.

What ? You’re at the *Dorchester*.. you know that shit is expensive and marked up because of location, ambience, quality, proper chef’s, etc etc.

Of course a normal top notch fry up shouldn’t cost more than £12.50 in my opinion
