That’s right, Italian restaurants across Scotland are battling it out this Autumn, for the chance to walk away with the title of being the best.
The Scottish Italian Awards are taking place next month, with plenty of Glasgow finalists in for a chance to win across multiple categories.
The ‘Best Pizza’ in Scotland Award is the most anticipated, as competitors will show off their skills at a live cook-off. The Best Pizza in Scotland finalists in Glasgow 2025 are Basilico Italian Take Away and Dessert, Bella Vita, Fratellos, Kadir’s Fish & Chips, Leopardo Pizza, Nostrana, Paesano Pizza, Radisson Red, Trattoria 47 and Vinnies Pizzeria.
What is more, Malocchio is also up for the chance to snag the ‘Best Newcomer’ Award this year!
When are the Scottish Italian Awards?
The black-tie Gala Final is taking place on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Cambridge Street in Glasgow, determining the best Italian restaurants in Scotland.
Awards Director Warren Paul said: “It’s a thrill to be back for the twelfth Italian Awards, and with over 120,000 public votes pouring in to help us find the best of the best, it’s clear Scotland’s people want to ensure their favourites are recognised. We’ve been inundated, so making it to the finalist spots is a bigger honour than ever before.
“It’s a privilege to be able to shine a light on lesser-known or recently launched places and people of this quality all over Scotland – as well as the big names and old favourites which keep on delivering quality.

“These awards, like all the awards events we run, are about trying to give a platform to help out in these tough times. There’s amazing food being produced every day in every town, city, village even street in Scotland, showcasing the best of Italy right here.
“The people have spoken, and they’ve spoken loud – this list of finalists really is a guide to the absolute pinnacle right here, right now. I don’t envy the judges….”
The judges will include Awards Ambassador and celebrity chef Aldo Zilli, along with judges from the UK Pizza Federation and a local panel of experts.
Warren continued: “The Awards Gala Dinner is an annual celebration of everything that links Scotland and Italy together.
“If you are a finalist – enjoy it. This emotional and exciting evening is an opportunity to reflect on your achievements and give real recognition to your team, who have helped you navigate hard times and good times alike.”
