I have never seen or heard of pork shawarma anywhere (I'm sure it exists though), had some pork belly to use, this is what happened.

Toum (homemade)

Roast red pepper spread (homemade)

Lettuce

Onion

Tomato

Pickles

    Seriously, that’s how it started – Lebanese immigrants to Mexico cooking lamb shawarma.

    Eventually it became its own thing and primarily made with pork.

    I have a buddy who’s family is orthodox Christian near Jerusalem and he told me there’s one guy he knows there that makes a pork shawarma and it’s unreal apparently

    It’s rare because shawarma is an Arab dish. Arabs tend to be Muslim. I’m half Arab. I’m not Muslim, so this made me giggle. I’d gladly have one. It looks great
