Charlton, NY (WRGB) — The Charlton Tavern opened in its current iteration in 1969—but its history goes back even further. The Irish pub in the historic town of Charlton, Saratoga County, occupies an old stagecoach shop and tavern, first opened in 1787! After a devastating fire in 2009, the tavern was rebuilt to make sure this piece of history could live on.
From classic pub fare to dishes with Italian flair, The Charlton Tavern is still serving up favorites today. But plan ahead—tables fill up fast so you may want to make a reservation!
