I took out a loan to afford enough beef to do a proper roast.
It was really gyatdam good. Pyrex is all the gravy I was able to make after.

Looks great! And no joke about the loan. My local IGA just 5-10 years ago would regularly have chuck on sale for $3.49/lb. It’s $11.99 regular price now and goes on sale for $8.99.

Money well spent in my opinion

That is a savory cold weather meal. I want seconds.

We only have so much time on earth to eat roasts and can’t take money with ya, so 🤷🏼♂️

Sell your soul it’s cheaper and has benefits like free fire for roasts.

An arm for a bowl?

Where I’m at pork is pretty cheap. I bought two pounds of boneless pork chops for 5.67 USD. The pork roasts were only slightly more expensive. My work lunches are sorted for the week.

I got a chuck roast over the weekend for $6.99/lb on sale. Regular for chuck roast is $9/lb now???
Seriously I had short ribs in the freezer. Would have been better off quick thawing in water but we hate to thaw out meat that way.
Tasted awesome though so still cheaper than eating out.

Oooh that looks great! I found a couple of steaks in the freezer from 2 years ago and made a hell of a stew this week. Only lost a tiny bit to freezer burn. 😂

Looks awesome. Tomorrow is sweet chili/ Hoisin pork tenderloin in the crock for us.

You better thank Trumps America right now.

No celery? I don’t even see onion!
Looks good all the same.

My son and I eat ground turkey instead of beef and a lot of pork tenderloin and roasts since it’s much cheaper than beef. If I find beef on a good sale I snatch it up.
