First time doing meal prep, trying to lose some weight. Ranch chicken with pasta, and steakhouse pork chops with mashed potatoes, both with roast green beans and asparagus. Im very excited to not need to cook this week.

If you’re wanting to loose weight I’d swap the portion sizes of the pasta/mash with the greens. Veggies should normally be the biggest portion. I’d only eat that many carbs in a meal if I was exercising 1hr a day.

Maybe it’s because I’m high right now, but it looks like your toaster is a proud father display8ing his new quintuplets.

    Also the meals look delicious!

    Please post your recipes!

We recently added a rule (#6) requiring either a recipe or list of ingredients, since it is so often requested. If you wouldn’t mind adding that we’d appreciate it!

I dont really use recipes much, but if you’d like to make either of these, the chicken breasts are Hella easy. Just brush them down lightly with a mixture of mayonnaise, ranch dressing, and ranch seasoning, and bake at 375 until done. The pasta is just tossed with olive oil, butter, Italian seasoning and parmesean cheese.

The pork chops are even easier. Just brush them down with a dollop of A1 and then generously season with your favorite steak seasoning blend. Bake at 375. Serve over any kind of mashed potato you’d like.

  6. thats alot of pasta. trade that for brocolli with a lil cheese

Never met you. Don’t know who you are.

    Feel really proud of you.

yep…half cup pasta (put it in the smaller section) and 3/4-1 cup beans/asparagus under the protein-then MAKE yourself eat all the protein/veg first to see if you are even still hungry enough to eat the pasta/potatoes.

next time, instead of mashed potatoes-just do small potatoes with skin on smashed/like with a fork and some salt/pepper with just a smidge sour cream (or olive/avocado oil) instead of mashed with butter/cream.

you might also enjoy spaghetti squash, quinoa, zoodles, cauli rice, etc…for your “carb” if that’s what you tend to miss on your weight loss journey.

and it’s not healthier, but i find i’m more satisfied with a smaller portion if i do frozen ravioli that’s stuffed with ricotta or something, rather than regular noodles/spaghetti

congrats on starting your journey! keep it up!
