I made a free database of trusted baking recipe sources from our threads.

I’ve seen a number of posts here asking for trusted and reliable baking recipe sources, especially now that AI-generated content has made it harder to tell what’s real or not.

I started collecting the recommendations in a basic spreadsheet for myself to keep track of all the sites and bakers people mentioned here. But, as the list grew, I thought it might be helpful for others too, so I organized it into a free Notion page that is hopefully easier for us to browse.

On the page, you’ll find:

• A table with about 50 sources added so far, with another 80-ish currently in progress (and hopefully more in the future). I manually verify and populate each one, so it’s taking me a bit of time to get through them all.
• Sorting and filtering capabilities for all categories, including specialty, region, units, and more.
• List of all Reddit posts used to populate the database, plus descriptions for every category.
• An anonymous form to submit errors, feedback, and suggestions.
• Simple instructions for how to best navigate the page.

A few important notes just to be fully transparent:

• This resource is not-for-profit – there are no ads, data collection, promotions, or affiliate links. It’s free for me to have, and free for you to use.
• You don’t need any accounts or to share any information to use it.
• It’s not affiliated with nor sponsored by any of the sources listed (or anyone, for that matter), and no revenue or commissions are generated from this work (and never will be).

I built this for our community, and I really want it to be useful for us, so any feedback or suggestions are very welcome and appreciated.
