That looks like a great tin – I’ve never seen that brand at any of my local Asian markets, but I’ll keep looking!
I’m Japanese and love both sardines (iwashi) and mackerel (sanma) simmered in miso sauce. I like to make onigiri and bring a miso tin for lunch. It’s just an easy quick lunch! It’s also very easy to make at home if you can get sardines or mackerel frozen at the Asian market. I personally prefer mackerel.
