I had the HARDEST time growing these peppers, and then I neglected them and they shriveled up…

I have no idea what they were supposed to be (I’m guessing jalapeno(?) but I’d love to have some extra insight..

Are the red ones still edible? Is it actually jalapeño? If I bring it inside, will it grow again?

Its the most pathetic jalapeno I have ever seen. This is what I would imagine a jalapeno to look like if Charlie Brown grew it.

The shriveled peppers are no good for eating. If they’ve dried that long on the plant, they’ve also probably started to turn brown inside. But I bet you could harvest those four peppers and get some seeds to try this again next season or try it indoors. Unless you have a long or eternal growing season and have time to start from seed again.

Other than that, yes you can bring this plant back. Peppers are resilient. I wouldn’t trim it or anything, but if you bring it indoor maybe get it in some fresh soil and let it adjust to either a strong grow light or the brightest window possible. The warmth will help it recover but it will need a lot of light.

Good luck! If you’re not worried about keeping this plant for its genetics, I would just start again from its seeds instead of struggling to get it thriving again. But if you do give it some tlc it can grow a lot of new vegetation and you can prune it back later to strengthen the main stem. Give it some support using garden stakes or at least some skewers!

Your plant is very legs and not as bushy. There was sun lacking or too much of it. Gotta find a sweet spot for peppers
