Carlo Cracco: From Veneto to six Michelin stars
Born in Creazzo, in the Veneto region, Cracco began his culinary career locally before training with Gualtiero Marchesi (considered the founder of Italian nouvelle cuisine) in Milan. He later refined his skills in Paris, mastering the techniques of French cooking.
Between 2001 and 2007, he was Executive Chef at Cracco Peck in Milan and has since opened several acclaimed restaurants, including his flagship in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, a short walk from the Duomo di Milano. In 2021, he opened his first meat-free restaurant in Portofino.
Cracco is also a familiar face on television, appearing on MasterChef Italia, Hell’s Kitchen Italia, and hosting Dinner Club.
