Gearing up for another busy season, Coconut Point is adding Nordstrom Rack, new restaurants and other retailers to its tenant map.
Nordstrom Rack celebrated its grand opening Oct. 2 in the 35,000-square-foot space that most recently was Christmas Tree Shops and previously was Bed Bath & Beyond at the northern end of the regional open-air mall in Estero. The new store is at 8020 Mediterranean Drive, near SuperTarget.
Nordstrom Rack is an off-price department store chain that is a subsidiary to Seattle-based luxury retailer Nordstrom. The brand offers on-trend apparel, shoes, accessories and home goods. With locations at Bell Tower in south Fort Myers and Mercato in North Naples, the Coconut Point store is the third regional store for Nordstrom Rack.

New restaurants
New dining options also are in the works at Coconut Point. They follow the lead of SB Bar, which debuted Sept. 1 at 23111 Fashion Drive, Suite 105, the former address of Peach Pit Bar & Grill and The Brass Tap. Originally planned as a companion dining concept to what would have been SB Grill, the bar and grill were combined under one roof instead.

“Originally, we had planned to launch SB Grill as a separate concept. However, during the planning stage we made the strategic decision to bring everything together under one brand — SB Bar. This allows our guests to enjoy the full experience of great food, especially our exclusive Josper steaks, cocktails and entertainment and karaoke all in one place,” emailed SB Bar co-owner Jyldyza Alymkulova.
SB Bar offers Eastern-style kebabs grilled over charcoal, seared Bavarian sausages and other flavorful dishes. The new venue features live music, a wide selection of cocktails and a lively atmosphere.
Alba Breakfast & Brunch is targeted to open this month in the Coconut Point unit previously intended for SB Grill. That space next to the mall’s former cinema also used to be Lehne Burger, BurgerIM and Johnny Rockets.

Alba Breakfast & Brunch is targeted to open this month in the nearby spot previously intended for SB Grill. Alba is building out the space next to the mall’s former cinema that used to be Lehne Burger, BurgerIM and Johnny Rockets at 23111 Fashion Drive, Suite 111.
Alba will be the first full-service restaurant at Coconut Point to open for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The dining spot will offer breakfast classics inspired by Mediterranean and European traditions until 3 p.m. Signature menu highlights will include decadent French Toast Crème Brûlée, indulgent Lobster Eggs Benedict and flavorful Shakshuka — a Middle Eastern dish of poached eggs in a simmering sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers and onions.

In November, Casa Blu is another new restaurant targeted to open at 8076 Mediterranean Drive, Suite 107 — the former location of Amfora Mediterranean Restaurant and MidiCi Neapolitan Pizza Co., next to Starbucks at Coconut Point.
Born from a family with more than 40 years of experience in hospitality, Casa Blu will be a modern dining venue that blends Bolivian heritage with Mediterranean inspiration. The menu will focus on simple, flavorful dishes prepared in Neapolitan wood-fired ovens.
Additional restaurant spaces vacated this year by the adjacent El Nido and South Fork Grille still remain available.
Talbots is building out this space on Fashion Drive at Coconut Point where it will relocate this year from a smaller unit in the open-air mall in Estero.

More retailers
In addition to Nordstrom Rack, more new retailers recently opened or are coming soon to Coconut Point.
Bonita Smoke Shop & Cigar Lounge relocated this summer from Bonita Springs to the northwest corner of the mall and Spirit Halloween recently opened a specialty store with costumes, accessories and seasonal decor in the former Jo-Ann Fabrics store at 8072 Mediterranean Drive. After operating for more than 25 years, Bonita Smoke Shop added a cigar lounge when it moved into the former Men’s Wearhouse space exceeding 6,600 square feet, making it Southwest Florida’s largest cigar store. The expanded business at 23050 Via Villagio, Suite 101, carries hundreds of different cigar brands, humidors and accessories.
ZAGG, a one-stop shop for tech protection and repair, plans to open this fall in the former space of uBreakiFix on the corner of Fashion and Mediterranean drives. The Utah-based chain sells cases and accessories to protect mobile devices, and can repair items such as phones, iPads, drones, speakers and keyboards.
JET SET Pilates is targeted to open its modern Pilates studio at Coconut Point in the first quarter of 2026. The wellness concept offers high-intensity, low-impact full-body workouts to DJ-curated playlists.
Meanwhile, Talbots will be relocating around the corner from its storefront on the corner of Village Shops Way and Via Venezia Street. The retailer of female fashion apparel and accessories will move into a larger space this year next to Loft on Fashion Drive, said Julie Clark, director of marketing at Coconut Point.
“The move will allow for a more spacious, elevated shopping experience while the existing location remains open to shoppers until the transition is complete,” Clark said.
