Bonhams presents The Legendary Cellar of Hostellerie Jérôme.
In a landmark event for wine collectors and connoisseurs, Bonhams will present The Legendary Cellar of Hostellerie Jérôme: The French Riviera’s Gastronomic Heritage – a three-part auction series offering 25,000 bottles from one of France’s most revered restaurant cellars.

The sales will take place across Hong Kong, Paris, and London, beginning with a live auction in Hong Kong on 22 November 2025, followed by Paris on 14 February 2026, and London in April 2026. Each will feature both live and online auctions, giving wine lovers around the world a chance to acquire treasures that defined a generation of fine dining on the Côte d’Azur.
A Cellar of Legends
Perched in La Turbie overlooking Monaco, the two-Michelin-starred Hostellerie Jérôme was long celebrated not just for its refined cuisine but also for its extraordinary wine cellar. Curated by Chef Bruno Cirino and his wife Marion over more than three decades, it was a collection that reflected both passion and precision, an encyclopaedia of French wine assembled with uncompromising dedication.

Now, following the restaurant’s closure, Bonhams will bring this remarkable cellar to the international stage. Amayès Aouli, Global Head of Wine & Spirits at Bonhams, calls it “one of the most remarkable cellars ever assembled by a restaurant, and a true reflection of French gastronomy at its finest. It embodies integrity, terroir, and the deep respect between chef and winemaker.”

Chef Bruno Cirino, whose culinary career spans Michelin-starred kitchens from the Royal Monceau to Alain Ducasse, describes the sale as a celebration of craftsmanship. “This is a chapter that comes to an end,” he shares. “But through these auctions, our wines will find new homes with those who appreciate authenticity and excellence. It is a way to continue our story.”
A Treasure of Provenance and Craft
Comprising over 25,000 bottles, the Hostellerie Jérôme cellar represents the best of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, and the Rhône Valley. Every bottle was purchased directly from the domaines upon release, ensuring impeccable provenance and condition. Many of these wines were allocated exclusively to the restaurant by producers who reserve such access for only the most respected names in French dining.

The collection was stored with meticulous care in the restaurant’s temperature-controlled cellars, preserving the quality and character of every vintage. The result is a wine library that mirrors the evolution of French viticulture over the last three decades.
The Hong Kong Sale: Burgundy Icons Take the Stage
The opening auction in Hong Kong will spotlight Burgundy, with highlights that include:
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Vosne Romanée Les Petits Monts 2018 (3 bottles) – HK$90,000 to 120,000

Domaine Leroy Musigny 2009 (3 bottles) – HK$400,000 to 550,000

A Celebration of Heritage
For Bonhams, The Legendary Cellar of Hostellerie Jérôme is more than an auction; it is a tribute to French heritage, culinary artistry, and the enduring bond between great wine and great cuisine. As the gavel rises in Hong Kong, Paris, and London, a piece of gastronomic history will be passed into the hands of a new generation of custodians.
