The picture is of the inside immediately after I opened the lid, temp set to 400, digital probe reading 400, and the analog probe reading 450. For some reason it's pumping so many pellets and air in that it's turning the metal plate in the metal orange. I put wing and legs on it charred black the downsides in half the time it normally takes them to fully cook without char.

I recently smoked a pork butt for about 10 hours. Could there be anything wrong with the probes? I hadn't cleaned them and am planning to do that to see if that's what's wrong but posting here in case it could be anything else.
