Chef at downtown Chicago Mediterranean restaurant shares inspiration on Cooking up a Storm

Nicole Nassif is the woman behind the counter at 141 W. Jackson Blvd.

She says imee means mom in Arabic, and the restaurant is a tribute to all those family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.

Nassif made lentils, and talked about what dishes the restaurant offers.

She also touched on how the restaurant is a tribute to the women in her life who taught her how to cook.
