Tonight for dinner, we’re making an oven baked pork chops, mashed potatoes, and green beans. So, this is a relatively easy recipe. You can really marinate the pork however you want. You can just do salt and pepper. I’m going to kind of make a little bit of a brown sugar cumin kind of marinade, easy green beans, and then some quick mashed potatoes. And I know I said it before, but if you guys are trying to save a little bit of money, buy pork. It’s always cheaper than chicken. It’s cheaper than beef. It’s super easy to make. These are six um thick cut pork chops that were like 12 bucks. Get pork. [Music] Hey, Pork and applesauce, green beans, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Why do we have applesauce? Cuz pork and applesauce go tastes good together. You just wouldn’t think it. Try it. Almost thumbs down. Almost a thumbs down. Try just a piece of pork. This the saddest hund of all time. Good. Good. Want to try some? [Music]

  1. Pork Chops!

    Ingredients:

    Pork Chops – 6 (boneless)
    Marinade:
    Brown Sugar – 2tbsp
    Salt pepper Garlic
    Italian Seasoning
    Smoked Paprika
    Chili Powder
    Cumin
    Olive Oil
    Butter

    Yellow Potatoes – 3lbs
    Salt
    Butter – 1/2 stick
    Heavy Cream – 1/2c
    Minced Garlic – 2tbsp
    Parmesan

    Green Beans – 2lbs
    Butter – 2tbsp
    Salt Pepper Garlic Blend

    Gravy:
    Butter – 4tbsp
    Flour – 4tbsp
    Chicken Broth – 2c
    Salt
    Pepper
    Worcestershire

    Directions:

    1. Start by washing and dicing the potatoes into roughly the same size pieces. Add to a large pot and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Boil until the potatoes are knife tender (15-20mins.)
    2. Combine the pork marinade ingredients into a bowl and drizzle in olive oil, while whisking, until you reach your desired consistency. Spread all over the pork, top each with a few knobs of butter and bake at 375 for 25mins. Broil for 2-3mins and then allow to rest.
    3. Add the green beans to a hot pan and cook for 5mins. Then pour in some water, cover and steam for 6mins until tender. Add in the butter and some seasoning. Toss to combine.
    4. Once the potatoes are soft strain them and then add to a large bowl. Add in the butter, cream, salt, garlic and Parmesan. Give it a mix and mash and taste to adjust your seasoning.
    5. Melt butter into a saucepan and then slowly add flour in while whisking continuously. Once all the flour is in pour in the chicken broth a little at a time while mixing. Lower the heat and whisk until you reach your desired gravy consistency. Add a pinch of salt, pepper and some Worcestershire.
    6. Serve the potatoes topped with the gravy along side the green beans, pork and some applesauce. Enjoy!

  2. Nice!
When you was opening the jar over the potatoes I had to go back and look as I thought this was applesauce you put in the mash.

Then you put the applesauce on the chops and I was like
    "Hell Yeah!"

It does taste good together. I have not had that combo in over 20 years, in fact I have had pork n applesauce since b4 I left NY in '96.

Put that on my shopping list for November.
