Man, when I was broke and worked at Kroger I used to mark down steaks, ground beef all sorts of stuff for myself. Don’t think I ever marked down a filet to 2$ though lol

When I was in Kentucky, I found a mistake like that on chuck roast might’ve been pork roast. I don’t remember now might’ve been pork butt, but then they wanted to scream at me at the checkout. They only caught me on the second time I came back. I can’t believe other people hadn’t caught it

Awesome find. I’d keep digging thru the case for more. We went shipping one night about 8-830 at King Soopers. Right about the time they were closing the meat counter and clearing the case out. We picked up about 20# of hamburger for little to nothing. Right place right time.

Love Kroger. I used to go early mornings when they discounted all the soon to expire stuff. Just put them in the freezer if I wasn’t using them.

Love this for you! We never have clearance meat at our Walmarts, but where we used to live had a Safeway with a well stocked Manager’s Special section woth great finds. Safeway is just about all I miss about Washington state.
