80/20 ground chuck.
Anyone know why the thing practically caught on fire while grilling it? I know its not ideal for the patty to be engulfed in flames cuz it will throw off the flavor. Was it because theres leftover food on the grill grate?
Any advice appreciated!

Looks amazing. Flare up likely happened because fat from the patties dripped into the grill and lit up
80/20 is capable of flare up on its own but yeah if you havenāt cleaned your left over food on the grates or down below definitely increases the chances.
clean af ngl
Grill flare ups are caused by fats burning usually. Either your grill needs cleaned or the ground beef has enough fat to do it.
Cook it in cast iron and you won’t have that problem
Looks šÆ! If Iām being a perfectionist, Iād ise fresher looking lettuce – Iām sure it was fresh and just wilted from grease/heat. A+
Shake Shack & In-N-Out wish their burgers looked that good.
God damn
I enjoy the flavor that flareups add.
that does look like an amazing burger, also must just be the angle but it makes the hand look big which makes the burger seem smaller š
So fresh!
