

First batch of pizza turned out ok while using the Weber crafted stone, but I needed more heat coming from the top. Scrolling through the internet I saw a couple of people giving this setup a try. The first picture has a three inch gap, the second four inches. I also moved the stone to center just sitting on top of the grates. Thoughts?

I also have a Weber Genesis – i just threw on the pizza stone right on the grill, and they always come out perfect.
On my Weber q I just use a cast iron pizza tray and put it right on the grill and pizza turns out fantastic
Whatever you do, I’d love to see your results! I myself am in the midst of overanalyzing pizza setups on a Weber kettle to figure out how to diy it myself.
