First time successfully making bread. Last time I tried was pathetic doorstops of loaves. I’ve been doing pizza dough for years but finally decided to try bread again with these dinner rolls. I used the recipe below but substituted the whole milk with 2% that I had on hand, and swapped the unsalted butter sally calls for with my garlic butter for a lovely garlic butter dinner roll.
I am so happy with how they turned out. Light. Fluffy. Soft. They bounce back when I squish them. A nice gentle garlic flavor to them from the garlic butter. I couldn’t have wished for them to have turned out any better for my first try. https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/soft-dinner-rolls/

Those look absolutely perfect! Sally’s recipes never miss, her dinner rolls are basically guaranteed to disappear within minutes of coming out of the oven

Man those look incredible, Sally’s recipes never miss. Now I’m craving fresh bread at 11pm which is just cruel

Look good. However. They do look a little dense. It’s usually caused by under proving, your oven being dry, or not enough gluten development. It’s an easy fix. But hey good first try.

I just made her black velvet cupcakes for a Halloween party and they were BANGERS. I can’t wait to make more of her recipes and these look SO good!

I’ve had great luck with her recipes too. The first loaf of white sandwich bread I made was from Sally and it came out perfectly the first time. I was shocked! Recently I made her oatmeal pumpkin spice sandwich cookies. They were so freaking good.

I think I have made these before! They were really good but the cook times seemed off. Maybe my oven is just weird (likely) but they were yummy and easy besides messing with temp and time

Love Sally, I’ve made those rolls several times and they’re amazing. Just did a lemon blueberry cake from her recipes too.
