700 grams shrimp, cleaned and deveined
1 stick or 1/2 cup butter
1 head garlic, chopped
3 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp cajun seasoning
2 tbsp honey
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 cup sprite
1/2 pc shrimp broth cube
2 pcs boiled corn, sliced
salt and pepper to taste
1. Trim off the sharp ends and antennae of the shrimp. Remove the vein by poking at the back (curved side) to expose the dark vein. Pull with your fingers once the vein is visible.
2. In a pan, melt the butter. Add the garlic and saut茅 until just aromatic. Do not brown.
3. Add the ketchup, cajun seasoning, honey, shrimp broth cube, lemon juice and sprite then mix well. Simmer until thick.
4. Add the shrimp and toss until covered with the sauce. Ook until just orange in color. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Finally, add the sliced boiled corn and toss until combined. Serve with lemon slices.
